Who this is about

This site belongs to Your Gardens Hampshire LTD, trading as Your Gardens, landscapers and garden designers working across Southampton and the New Forest in Hampshire. If you have a question about your details, email enquire@yourgardens.co.uk.

What gets collected

When you send an enquiry through the form:

• your name and email address
• the subject and what you wrote about your garden

Sent automatically with it, to help stop abuse of the form: your IP address and your browser's user agent string. These are never shown to us.

The site also counts, without knowing who you are, that a page was viewed, that the contact section was seen, and that the form or the email address was used. No cookie is set and nothing is stored on your device; a daily count of visitors is made from a code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. There are no advertising pixels and no other analytics on this site.

Why

To reply to your enquiry, talk about your garden and arrange a visit or a quote. That is the only use. Your details are never sold, never added to a marketing list, and never passed to anyone else for their own purposes.

Where it goes

The form is run for us by a small form-handling service, which stores each message, emails it to us and gives us an inbox to reply from. It keeps everything in the United Kingdom, on Amazon Web Services in London, encrypted in transit and at rest, and processes your details on our behalf and for nothing else. The visit counts go to the same service, which keeps each page view as a line for two weeks, with the time, the page and the town it appeared to come from, and nothing that identifies you. We see the totals, and those lines.

How long

Two years from the day you sent it, then deleted automatically. An enquiry that turns into work is kept for as long as our records of that work need to be. Spam is deleted after thirty days.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. Email enquire@yourgardens.co.uk and we will sort it out. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
